Poppy seed cake

1 kg of poppy seed
1 decagramof sugar
4 tablespoons (Tb)of honey
5 decagrams of butter
2white eggs
8 decagrams of vanilla sugar
3/4 decagrams of raisins
1 decagram of chopped walnuts,

1 kilogram of flour
35decagrams of sugar
25 decagrams of margarine
4 egg yolks
0.5 liter of milk ( lightly warm)
10 decagrams of yeast
pinch of salt
butter and bread crumbs to grease the cake form.
1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice

1) Rinse poppy seed, scald with hot water and let sit overnight. The next day drain the poppy seedin a sieve, grind at least two, three times. Melt butter in a pot, add sugar, poppy seed, honey, raisins, nuts and fry a few minutes on a low flame, still mixing. Then slightly cooled it, add white eggs whisked into a froth and mix. Divide the poppy seed mixture into 2 parts.
2) Mix yeast with 2 Tb of sugar, 2 Tb of flour, about 100 ml. of lightly warm milk.  Mix well and let it rise.
3) Grind the yolks well with the remaining sugar and to this add the raised yeast, milk, salt and flour.  Make a dough.  At the end add melted
margarineand lemon juice. Mix well again. The dough must not stick to your hands. Cover with a towel and let the dough rise.
4) Divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll out each part of the dough, lightly sprinkled with flour. Evenly spread the poppy seed mixture on the dough, roll up the dough and place in long, app. 18 -inch loaf pans. Close the edges of the rolls so that the poppy seed mixture doesn't come out during rising. Let the rolls rise again in a warm place covered with a towel, then brush with an egg mixed with 1 Tb milk. 5) Preheat oven to 360 F and then place the rolls in for about 40 minutes.

Apple pie

I found in the internet a recipe for apple cake. It looked that:


5 apples

2 apple or lemon jellies

1 pack of biscuits

½ liter of 30% cream

2 teaspoons of sugar

How to prepare:

Put cream to the bowl, add sugar and beat. Put it into the fridge. Put jellies to bowl, pour 2 glasses of hot water and mix. Wash apples. Four of them peel, grate and put into the bowl with jellies. Chop the biscuits and add to jellies with apples. Wait until the jellies with apples and biscuits will be cool.

Pour mass into the Springform pan. Slice the last apple and put on the cake. Put cake into the fridge for 4 hours. Remove the cake from fridge and decorate it cream.

I think the apple cake is tasty, but very sour, so I’d add more sugar. Bon appetite!
