ZhangyeDanxia Landform in Gansu, China

It is located near the city of Zhangyein China's northwestern Gansuprovince. It’s famous for colorful rock formations.

These unusual colors of rocks are the result of red sandstoneand mineral deposits being laid down many

years ago.

Wind and rain finished the job by carving weird and wonderful shapes.

In 2009 it has been voted as one of the most beautiful landforms in China and in 2011 it became

a national geopark.

The area has become a top tourist attraction for Zhangye.

A series of boardwalks and access roads have been built to help visitors

to explore the rock formations.



Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park, Philippines

This national park is located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range on the western coast of the Philippines.

The City Government of Puerto Princesa has managed the National Park since 1992.

The entrance to the subterranean river is a short hike or boat ride from the town.

SabangThis park features a spectacular limestone karst landscape with an underground river.

One of the river's distinguishing features is that it emerges directly into the sea.

Puerto Princesa Underground River was provisionally chosen as one of the seven wonders of nature.

Yellowstone National Park

The Yellowstone National Park is situated in United States on the area of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho states (circa 8980 km 2) . It’s the oldest national park in the world. This place is famous due to its geysers, hot springs, mud volcanoes and waterfalls. Park has written on the World Heritage List UNESCO. It’s established in 1872. A mountain wildland is home to grizzly bears ,wolves and herds of bison and elk.

The human history of the Yellowstone region goes back more than 11,000 years. From then until to very recent past, many groups of Native Americans used the park as their homes, hunting grounds and transportation routes. These traditional uses of Yellowstone lands continued until a little over 200 years ago when the first people of European descent found their way into the park. Now more than thousand people visit the Yellowstone Park in one year.

If you will go there, you have to see:

  • Lake Yellowstone- beautiful view of this lake and mountain behind lake
  • West Thumb Geyser Basin- place where you can see some geysers, small mud lakes and hot springs
  • Grand Village: Old Faithfull Geyser- one of the famous attraction for tourists ; this is the biggest and the highest geyser in the all Yellowstone
  • Lower Geyser Basin- one place with many geysers in the forest
  • Norris Geyser Basin- place with the hottest water reservoir
