New Zealand

Hello everybody! This is my first post in this school year. I hope that you will be reading my posts about the capital and the country. So let’s start it.

New Zealand (in Maori language – Aotearoa - “Long White Cloud Country” ). It is an island nation, located on the south-western Pacific. New Zealand consists of two main islands – North and South and a number of smaller islands, including Stewart Island and Chatham Islands. The archipelago of New Zealand is the southern most forward part of Oceania, south-east of Australia. The New Zealand includes the Cook Islands and Niue, which are self-governing, Tokelau.

Wellington is the capital of the New Zealand, the third largest city. Wellington is the most densely populated capital city in Oceania, and the most southern capital city in the world. The name commemorates Arthur Wellesley, winner of the Battle of Waterloo and is derived from its title- the first Duke of Wellington. The title relates to the English city of Wellington located in the British county of Somerset.

United States of America are fascinating me since I started my journey with the English language. Today I am going to present you California.

Los Angeles is the biggest city in California. It is situated by the Pacific Ocean. There are some rivers such as: Colorado, Klamath and Sacramento. It is the richest state in the United States. The capital city of California is Sacramento. There is a Valley of Death (86m) which is the lowest point in North America. The University of California is an institution which employs the biggest amount of nobelists. Being there it is worth to see the National Yosemite Park. For the fans of movie stars there is a museum of wax figures Madame Tussaud in Hollywood. You can find there Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Nicolas Cage etc. The income of California is linked with the agriculture, movie entertainment and entertainment of high technology. It would be the fifth economic force in the world if it was the independent country.
