In the new year we will have many film awards. Let us remember most important:
THE ACADEMY AWARD (27.02.2011) - The Academy Award (informally known as the Oscar) is an accolade by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors, and writers.
GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD
(16.01.2011) - The Golden Globe Awards are presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, both domestic and foreign, and to focus wide public attention upon the best in motion pictures and television.
 

 
 
CANNES FILM FESTIVAL
(11.05.2011) - The Cannes Film Festival is one of the world's most prestigious film festivals. The private festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, in the resort town of Cannes, in the south of France.  The most prestigious award given out at Cannes is  the "Golden Palm" for the best film.

 
 
Berlin International Film Festival
(10.02.2011) - The Berlin International Film Festival, also called the Berlinale, is one of the world's leading film festivals and most reputable media events. Around twenty films compete for the awards called the Golden and Silver Bears.
Venice Film Festival
(31.08.2011) - The Venice Film Festival  is the oldest film festival in the world. The festival's principal awards are the Golden Lion, which is awarded to the best film screened at the festival, and the Volpi Cup, which is awarded to the best actor and actress.
British Academy Film Awards
(13.02.2011) - The British Academy Film Awards are presented in an annual award show hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). The Academy's awards are in the form of a theatrical mask.
Emmy Award Emmy Award is a television award similar to Peaboday Awards.
